Pat's Me Mum underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist sprain and a right triangle injury. Trenzalore, Radical Rex and Beastly Boy were slow to begin. Beastly Boy and Mad Brax collided approaching the first turn. Mr Ian Robinson was issued with a warning under GAR 86 o for negligence after the greyhound, Kandinsky was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process.

Reiko Flash underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist sprain and a right foreleg toe injury.

A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Oscar Slate and Butternut collided on the first turn. Just Admit It galloped on the heels of Butternut on the home turn. For now, Manning will continue to train his three racing greyhounds as well as operating the Manning Greyhound Complex, enjoying every single one of his firsts.

With the fires surrounding the Bendigo area still considered dangerous , the local greyhound community is advised that Bendigo Greyhound Racing Club has opened its kennels for greyhounds requiring emergency evacuation but anyone considering doing so is advised to abide by CFA guidlelines and to evacuate any greyhounds to the Bendigo track well ahead of any impending fire front.
